Bt (Bacillus Thuringiensis) is a natural bacteria occuring in nature that when consumed by caterpillars or larvaes, they are posioned & eventually die. It is safe for humans & nature.

Halt is composed of millions of living Bt (bacillus thuregiensis) spores along with toxic crystals which works as a stomach poison to lepidopteran insect larvae by causing gut paralysis followed by septicemia.

Bacillus Thurigiensis (Bt) is so effective vs crop pests that some wise guy decided to manipulate DNAs and splice them into crops and create what is called GMO Crops, like Bt corn, Bt Eggplant, Bt Soya, etc. They then patented the hybrid, & farmers who use them are under contract & under their control. GMOs are unacceptable in organic farming standards due to health & environmental issues.

Bt can be used in its simple form by simply spraying. No need for Bio engineering background, no need for DNA manipulation, no need for sophisticated equipments, no need to be controlled by multinationals, no need for onesided contracts. Simply add to water & spray. And it produces better results w/ out health & environmental issues.

Multinationals claimed that GMO corn has sucessfully controlled Asian Corn Borers (ACB). GMO corn farmers reported little to no infestation of ACBs.
However, many GMO corn farms were affected by FALL ARMY WORMS (FAW) which was first reported in Cagayan Valley. What is surprising is that the GMO corns failed to stop the FAW, which it is supposed to be able to.
There are findings that FAW, being territorial, is preying on ACBs. The FAWs are eating the ACBs.
The abscence of ACBs, maybe because they are being preyed upon by FAW, and not because of the GMO genes in corns.Therefore, GMO corn may have failed to deliver as expected, both on ACBs & FAWs, and possibly other pests that it is supposed to control.
